Cymru Horrorcon/Horrorcon Wales - Saturday October 10th 2026

Written By S P Oldham

Well, I just attended my first ever #horrorcon with #valleyscon in Cardiff on Saturday. It was a great day, loads of fun. Lots of fabulous cosplay outfits, stalls, actors such as Fedor Steer, Madeleine Smith and Caroline Monroe. Books sold, I was even interviewed, which I was not expecting! Well worth it, looking forward to next year! As ever, thank you to my wonderful husband Adam Oldham for your continued support and encouragement x #horrorcon #valleycon #horrorconvention #horrorfiction #darkfantasy Next year’s date is already locked in - Saturday 17th April 2027. Hope to see you there!

The author posing with cosplayers dressed as Deadpool and Harley Quinn

The author posing with a cosplayer dressed as Jack the Ripper. Or is he..?

The author posing with a cosplayer dressed as Art the Clown. He had great fun terrifying people by creeping up behind them and honking the horn!

The author posing with a cosplayer dressed as a nurse from horror game Silent Hill. What a fantastic costume! Possible my favourite of the day although I missed out on a snap with Pyramid Head!
